My son, two years old; such a cutie and rascal at the same time. I love you to bits! You’ve changed my life in so many ways, and I thank God for you often. You came into my life like a little angel, smiling when I was down, cheering me up when I went through some of the worst depression in my life. I know the Lord helped me through, and I know a big part of His help was sending you! Life is complicated, I know, trying to remember to say magic words at just the right time, like ‘please’, ‘sorry’, ‘pee-pee’, etc. You became a great dancer this last year, copying your sisters and developing your own ‘cowboy’ dance. You started to like doing your flashcards, learned all the ‘baby quotes’ and memorized all your baby books by making your older sisters read them to you over and over again. You discovered your love for puppies, chocolate and cars. You made new friends, learned how to get what you want from your sisters, namely being so cute they can’t resist! You like to drink tea with a spoon and keep very clean at meals. You love play dough and paints, markers and computer pictures. You’re tall enough now to reach most of the door handles in the house (85cms today!), and know how to get where you can’t reach by getting a stool, chair or other object to stand on, including my feet. You talk in German and English, confusing those who don’t live with us with your requests in German, and teaching your sisters the language I wasn’t faithful enough with them. You’ve taught me that just ‘being there’ is so important, and I don’t want to miss anything of your life, knowing that you’ll be ‘grown up’ so soon, and I’ll miss my little boy. I know I can’t always be there, but I sure enjoy all the times when I am! There’s so much more I’d like to say, but time and space couldn’t hold it all! Thank you for leaving your beautiful home in Heaven to come and live with us; you’re my little angel! I love you!
